On May 27, the DLP hosted a bookclub with the 2021 David Labkovski Project Scholar, Dr. Michael Good.
Dr. Good’s parents were both from Vilna. Each had a remarkable story of survival during the Holocaust.
Pearl Good, Dr. Good’s mother, was saved by the Nazi officer responsible for the HKP work camp, Major Plagge. Dr. Michael Good worked tirelessly to credit Major Plagge for his acts that saved hundreds, which ultimately lead to Major Karl Plagge’s inclusion in Yad Vashem’s Righteous Among the Nations.
