Short video about the opening of the David Labkovski Project Exhibit in Vilnius.

“Immersion in a Perception: The Art of David Labkovski” is a student curated immersive, experiential installation envisioned by Viewpoint School seniors Maddie W. and Sydney P. The exhibit is produced in partnership with The David Labkovski Project, an organization that advances knowledge of the Holocaust through the art of Lithuanian artist David Labkovski (1906-1991). The project emphasizes tolerance, justice and the importance of bearing witness to history.

Each component of the exhibit gives visitors a glimpse into the artist’s experiences and perceptions.  Visitors walk in David Labkovski’s footsteps through the use of virtual reality created by Weston BellGeddes ‘19.

Explore the human cost of totalitarianism through soundscapes by Film I students. Engage with the ethical questions brought to light through students in the Upper School’s Ethics class.

Don’t miss this opportunity to  have a unique and enriching experience through the eyes of David Labkovski. This exhibit was created in conjunction with students from the Vilnius Lyceum.  An exhibit with some shared components opened in Vilnius, Lithuania on April 3.
