DLP in South Africa: Summer 2017

The David Labkovski Project journeys to South Africa to teach students about the Holocaust through the art of David Labkovski. Presentations were given at The Durban Holocaust Centre and The Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre. Executive Director and Labkovski’s great niece, Leora Raikin, talked about life, art, and bearing witness to history. She shared insights into David’s personal life and the remarkable journey of his artwork from Vilna, Lithuania to Siberia, Russia to Safed, Israel.
