Last week, the DLP’s traveling exhibition, “Documenting History through Art,” was on view at the offices of the Capital Group, Los Angeles. Employees were invited to attend lectures and view David Labkovski’s paintings depicting life before, during and after the Holocaust, as well as the period when the artist was a prisoner in Siberia. Capital Group employees then shared their reactions with DLP Founder & Executive Director Leora Raikin and Student Docent Aliza:
“Great experience. I have learned so much. I will be attending the workshop on Friday to learn how to read the art from a historical and personal perspective.”
“Thank you Capital Group for bringing this exhibit to us. I am awed.”
“Thank you for organizing and exhibiting such a monumental exhibit. It really portrays how cruel humanity can be and how resilient mankind can be.”
“This is such an incredible exhibit…It really brings out empathy and a better understanding for the Holocaust victims.”
“Thank you for the space to experience this meaningful art and history.”
